My name is Morgan Paige, and welcome to our home! Back in February of 2015, I bought a country house out on 5 acres of land in Kingston Springs, TN, just 30 minutes west of downtown Nashville. Upon moving in, it was just me and my beagle, Turtle. In August of 2015, we added Kevin Pancho, our first pot belly pig. A few months later, we bought Mr. Wilbur, and they eventually had babies. Mr. Wilbur passed away in 2016 due to a lung infection, but we still own one of the babies, Ms. Carla Maie.

In 2017, my husband Pete and I moved to a new farm out in Joelton on 7 acres. We added Pixie and Willow, our donkeys, and we always have a rotating group of chickens of all types! We added Finnley, another pot belly pig, in 2018, along with several sheep who continued to breed. We also own a Great Pyrenees named Bootes (named after a constellation known as a herdsman) and a barn cat named Samson. In 2021, we added Ms. Penny Pickles.

In real life, I’m a high school English teacher and a full time momma to two boys. After 4pm, I try to be as intentional with my time as possible. We've managed to grow our home in ways of building  gardens, coops, successfully breeding the pigs, sheep and chickens, and continuing to build needed structures and projects around the land. I hope this blog will serve as an informative place for wanna-be farmers who are just trying to get started, along with hearing me talk about managing it all with everyday life!
